Black Bears Fall Short of Comeback

Stony Brook SeaWolves #7 Ty son Lawton gets handoff from #4 Tyquell Fields

Orono, ME-  On Saturday, November 6th the Maine Black Bears faced Stony Brook on Senior day and were looking to extend their winning streak. However, the Seawolves had other plans and got the early lead heading into halftime scoring the first 16 points in the first half limiting the Black Bears to only 7 in the first half. The Seawolves would go on to get the 22-17 victory. 

The Black Bears would find themselves down early however, would claw their way only to come up short at the end of the game where Derek Robertson would throw his second interception and the clock would run out. Maine falls to 4-5 (3-4 conference ) while the Seawolves would improve to 4-5 (3-3 in conference ). Maine will next travel to UMass Saturday,  November 13th while the Seawolves will travel to Villanova Saturday, Novemer 13th.
