Black Bears Fall to Northeastern in Hockey East W Hockey Action

Maine Black Bear Goalie #41 Loryn Porter recorded 36 saves on 38 shots on goal during Maine's 3-0 loss to Northeastern

Orono,ME –  Saturday, October 16th the Black Bears played host to the Huskies of Northeastern University in Hockey East Women’s Hockey action. The 5th ranked  Huskies would spoil Maine’s homecoming by getting the 3-0 victory. 

The Huskies would find the net in the second period early as Maddie Mills found the back of the net for the second time this season followed by Andrea Renner who picked up her first goal of the season to give the Huskies the 2-0 lead heading into the final period.  

The Huskies would find the net on an empty net by Tessa Ward who capped of the Huskies scoring. 

The Black Bears find themselves on the road until the 19th of November when they come home and take on Boston University and the 21st when they play Providence. Road games prior to the 19th and the 21st are games with UNH, Boston College, Holy Cross, Merrimack and a pair with UConn. 

The Huskies return home on Sunday, October 24th as they host Holy Cross (which can be seen on NESN) .
