WindJammers Earn Victory over Red Riots

Orono High School's #20 Owen Connor-Self tries to avoid Camden Hill's #12 Vincent Mainella's tackle as Connor-Self would find the end zone the following play.

Camden-Rockport,ME- Orono High School would open up their first year playing eight-man football traveling to Camden Hills to take on a talented Windjammers team. Camden Hills would defeat the Red Riots 52-6. The Red Riots would find themselves down early and not really able to capitalize on much as the WindJammers would score early and often. The Red Riots would however get on the board as Owen Connor-Self would step in at running back after their starting running back Joe Robertson would leave with a lower leg injury and wouldn’t return. Self would score the only Red Riots touchdown.

The Red Riots will look to earn their first victory as they travel up to Houlton Thursday, September, 9th. The Windjammers will travel to Ellsworth Friday, September 10th.
